		<description>I have been an insomniac most of my adult life.  I am 66 now and have had to take sleeping tablets for the past 35 years.  My doctors and I have tried all sorts of things, but nothing helps.  Sometimes, even with my tablets, I am awake after about 1 1/2 hours sleep, then up for the rest of the night.  I am currently seeing a psychologist who is trying to help me get over childhood abuse, which she says is probably the reason for my insomnia.  So far no help with the sleeping (or lack of).  Does anyone have any ideas that I can try?  Surely I can&#039;t be the only person who has such a severe sleep disorder.  I live in the country and can&#039;t get to places like sleep disorder clinics.</description>
